The Library JobLine of Illinois is used by hundreds of job-seekers throughout the state. It is designed to help you locate qualified staff to fill current positions by announcing your job openings to a wide audience of library and information professionals and support staff. If you have any questions, please contact the person or institution listed for more information about the job listing.
- NEW 2025: Per the Illinois Pay Transparency requirements in effect January 1, 2025, job listings must now include the wage or salary and a general description of benefits and other compensation for the position before ILA can make the listing live.
- If further details about the listing are available via a link included in the description, so long as the salary and benefits are included on that webpage or PDF, then it does not need to be included in the ILA JobLine post.
- Your job opening is advertised for $100.
ILA Institutional and Associate Members receive one complimentary job posting per calendar year. To post a job using your membership benefit, follow the steps below under Membership Benefit. If you are unsure if your organization qualifies or if you have already used the benefit, please email ila@ila.org.
- Your job listing will appear on the ILA Web site for 30 days.
- New posts are listed within two business days of receipt of your listing.
- Links to new posts are shared on ILA's Twitter feed with the hashtag #ILAJobline.
- Job posts are advertised in the ILA Alert
ILA Membership Benefit
1) use the submit jobline listing button below to submit your posting
2) at check out, make sure to select the "bill me later" option
3) once you have submitted the job posting, email ila@ila.org with your name, organization, and that you would like to use the organizational benefit
4) ILA staff are notified when the job listing has been submitted and will apply the benefit to the invoice
5) You will receive a copy of your receipt when ILA staff email to let you know your job listing is live
