Committee Charge

Illinois Libraries Present Committee is dedicated to sharing resources to produce a curated series of diverse events for member libraries. 

Committee Composition

The committee is composed of up to eighteen members: three chairs (chair, developing chair/chair-elect, and future chair); an ambassador (optional), who is the immediate past chair; and up to fourteen coordinators with specifically assigned roles and responsibilities:
Programming Coordinators - up to six members 
Event Production Coordinators - up to four members 
Data/Numbers Coordinators - up to four members 

The three chairs, the ambassador and the Lead Coordinator from each coordinator group form the ILA ILP Steering Committee responsible for the governance and oversight of the whole project. The Steering Committee works closely with ILA's staff liaisons and the ILA Executive Director on the administration and governance of the project.

The chairs will have a three a three year term with an additional optional year as ambassador. The coordinators will have a two year staggered term so that at any given point there are experienced members on the committee. Each coordinator group will have a designated lead position, with at least one year term on the Steering Committee. 

The ILA ILP Steering Committee meets once a month on the first Thursday of each month. Coordinator group meetings are scheduled as needed.
