Committee Charge

Coordinates program planning for ILA Annual Conference. In collaboration with the vice president/president-elect, the committee determines the theme, keynote speakers, and program sessions for the conference. The committee seeks proposals from ILA forums, committees, and a variety of library positions, types, sizes, and geographic areas to provide well-rounded educational content for all attendees.

Committee Composition

Composed of up to 13 members and 2 co-chairs (one public and one academic), serving sixteen month terms. The term ends October 31. At least one chair should have served on the ILA Conference Program Committee in the past. The committee should represent a balance of library types, locations, sizes, and positions. At least one member may represent a trustee position, a non-supervisory position, and a system position. It is preferred that the majority of committee members have attended an ILA Annual Conference. Executive Board liaison of the committee is the incoming vice president/president-elect.
