Registration Open for 2017 Indiana University Libraries Information Literacy Colloquium (Deadline July 28)

We are pleased to announce that registration for the 2017 Indiana University Libraries Information Literacy Colloquium is now open! The 2017 Indiana University Libraries Information Literacy Colloquium will take place on Thursday, August 3, at Indiana University Southeast (New Albany, Indiana), and will run from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The Colloquium seeks to explore which pedagogical strategies and theoretical perspectives librarians might employ to engage students in complex conversations about the nature of credibility, truth, and authority. information literacy instruction in the current sociopolitical climate. Workshop descriptions and additional information about the event are available via the Colloquium website.
Registration is limited to 100 participants and will end on Friday, July 28. The $60 registration fee will include breakfast, lunch, and snack breaks. A limited number of scholarships covering the cost of registration are available for graduate students who wish to attend the Colloquium. Registrants who are currently enrolled in graduate school should indicate their status in the institutional affiliation field of the registration form. The online registration form is available here. (Registrants will need to create an account first, if they do not already have one)
Participants may stay at a nearby hotel or on campus. On-campus housing registration, accessible via the main registration form, closes on Thursday, July 13, and on-campus housing registration fees are non-refundable after this date. Colloquium cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to maccardi@ius.edu, and are subject to a $20 cancellation fee due to required processing fees. Cancellations received after July 28th are non-refundable.
