NLM History of Medicine Lecture “A Look into the Pensieve: Reflections on Harry Potter at Twenty Years” at 1:00 PM CST on Tuesday, June 27

At 1:00 PM CST on Tuesday, June 27, the National Library of Medicine is hosting a lecture, titled “A Look into the Pensieve: Reflections on Harry Potter at Twenty Years”. This lecture will be presented by Elizabeth Bland, Curator of the Library’s exhibition “Harry Potter’s World” and independent writer and illustrator. This will be broadcast live from Lister Hill Center Auditorium on the NIH Campus in Bethesda, MD. To view the live-stream of the lecture today, please go here. This is the first of two lectures presented as part of a week-long celebration of the 20th anniversary of the publication of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. The second lecture, “Monsters in the Stacks: How Harry Potter Came to NLM”, will be presented by Stephen Greenberg, Head of the NLM History of Medicine Division, on Thursday, June 29, at 1:00 PM CST.
