CARLI Expanding Registration for April 10 Collections Care Workshop
Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
March 10, 2017(via Elizabeth Clarage, CARLI)
Starting the week of March 13, CARLI will expand registration for the Collections Care Workshop, to allow more than one registrant per CARLI member. However, as this is a hands-on program, overall registration is still limited. If you are interested in attending, please register soon, before the workshop fills up completely. To register, go here. The last day that registration will be open is Friday, March 24.
The workshop, which is sponsored by the CARLI Preservation Committee, will be held at Illinois State University′s Milner Library on Monday, April 10, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The instructor for the day will be Jennifer Hunt Johnson, Conservation and Preservation Specialist at Illinois State University. Through lecture, demonstration, and hands-on activities, participants will learn considerations for, and basic treatment of, circulating print collections. This workshop will not involve treatments for rare or special collections materials. The intended audience is staff and librarians from member libraries. No previous experience with preservation/conservation treatments is required.
If you have any questions, please e-mail CARLI Support, at support@carli.illinois.edu.
