Registration Open for CARLI Collections Care Workshop on April 10
Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
February 12, 2017(via Elizabeth Clarage, CARLI)
Registration is now open for the Collections Care Workshop, sponsored by the CARLI Preservation Committee. The Workshop will be held at Illinois State University′s Milner Library on Monday, April 10, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The instructor for the day will be Jennifer Hunt Johnson, Conservation and Preservation Specialist at Illinois State University. Through lecture, demonstration, and hands-on activities, participants will learn considerations for, and basic treatment of, circulating print collections. This workshop will not involve treatments for rare or special collections materials. The intended audience is staff and librarians from member libraries. No previous experience with preservation/conservation treatments is required.
Due to space limitations, only one person per CARLI member institution will be allowed to attend this workshop. Admission will be on a first-come, first-served basis. Since the registration system cannot filter by institution, however, all registrants will initially go on a waitlist and you will be notified by e-mail if your registration was the first accepted from your institution. If space remains after March 13, we will open up the class to anyone interested. Registration will close on Friday, March 24.
If you have any questions, please email CARLI support, at support@carli.illinois.edu.
