Orland Park Public Library Director Wins Woman in Leadership Award

(Orland Park) – The Orland Park Public Library is proud to announce that Library Director Mary Adamowski has been awarded the prestigious Woman in Leadership Award by the Orland Women’s Networking (OWN) committee, a division of the Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce. The award was presented at the OWN Luncheon, where local professionals gathered to celebrate outstanding women making a meaningful impact in the community.
During the award presentation, Chamber CEO Sarah Stasukewicz praised Adamowski for her exceptional dedication and inspiring leadership. “The final award of this year celebrates an exceptional woman in leadership—a true professional who exemplifies dedication and care in every aspect of her work,” said Stasukewicz. “Her commitment to (the library), a cornerstone of our community, is truly inspiring. When you speak with her, her passion shines through. She carries herself with warmth and kindness, making her an absolute joy to connect with.”
As Director of the Orland Park Public Library, Adamowski leads with vision and compassion, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and community engagement. Under her guidance, the library has expanded its services, strengthened partnerships, and implemented forward-thinking initiatives that directly benefit Orland Park residents.
In addition to her impact on the library, Adamowski is a dedicated supporter of the Chamber of Commerce’s mission. She and her team actively participate in Chamber initiatives by attending meetings, serving on committees, and volunteering at events, embodying the spirit of collaboration and service.
The Orland Park Public Library congratulates Mary Adamowski on this well-deserved recognition and celebrates her unwavering dedication to serving the community with empathy, creativity, and leadership.
About the Chamber
The Orland Park Area Chamber of Commerce is a not-for-profit corporation established in 1958 to increase business growth within the community. Originally boasting 14 members, the Chamber’s membership has grown to almost 500 businesses and organizations.
