2024 Reaching Forward Award Recipients Announced

The ILA Reaching Forward North Committee has selected Alejandra Nieto and Kathleen Schaefer as recipients of its 2024 awards. 

Alejandra Nieto, an Information Services Associate at the South Holland Public Library, is the recipient of the 2024 Robert P. Doyle ILA Conference Grant for Support Staff. Nieto will receive a one-year ILA membership, as well as registration and expenses, up to $800, to attend the 2024 ILA Annual Conference and a framed certificate. The award will be presented to Nieto at the Reaching Forward North Conference on Friday, May 10, 2024. 

Kathleen Schaefer, Programming Coordinator at the Dixon Public Library, is the recipient of the 2024 Oberman and Rich Reaching Forward Conference Grant. Schaefer will receive complimentary registration to the 2024 Reaching Forward North Conference, an overnight stay at the Reaching Forward conference hotel, $50 for expenses, and a framed certificate. The award will be presented to Schaefer at the Reaching Forward North Conference on Friday, May 10, 2024.
