In order to enable more librarians to attend Medical Library Association (MLA) Annual Meetings, EBSCO Information Services has generously donated money to the MLA Scholarship Endowment to provide stipends of up to $1,000.00 each. These stipends will cover travel and conference-related expenses for four librarians.  The award shall be known as the EBSCO/MLA Annual Meeting Grant. To be eligible, one must belong to MLA and be currently employed as a medical librarian. In addition, applicants must have between two and five years’ experience as a health sciences librarian at the time of the Annual Meeting. No more than one individual from any institution will receive the grant in a single year.

The deadline to apply is Thursday, December 1. (Note that the previous deadline was December 16.) For additional instructions, and to access the application form, go here. Completed forms must include a 200-word statement answering the question "What do you expect to gain professionally and/or personally by attending the MLA annual meeting?". If you have questions, please contact Jeanne Sadlik, Jury Chair, at jsadlik@luc.edu.
