Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
October 16, 2016Please help the Excellence Awards Committee publicize the Excellence in Academic Libraries Awards–and think about whether you would like to nominate your own library. The awards recognize academic librarians and staff who work together as a team to create outstanding academic libraries that are furthering the educational missions of their institutions. Academic libraries may demonstrate excellence through one or more of the following criteria, or in other ways that reflect the purpose and philosophy of this award.
- creativity and innovation in meeting the needs of their academic community
- leadership in developing and implementing exemplary pro- grams that other libraries can emulate
- substantial and productive relationships with classroom faculty and students
Recipients of the award will receive $3,000 and a plaque for each type of academic library (community college, college, and university). The award is sponsored by YBP Library Services. See the website for previous winner of this award. Nominations are due Friday, December 2.
