IACRL Unconference Preview
Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
September 27, 2023by Lori Noe, Frontier Community College
The goal of the IACRL Unconference is to encourage participants to bring topics they are interested in discussing with their colleagues. Facilitators will solicit topics from attendees and then hold a vote on the topics the group is most interested in. Topics will be designated to specific tables and ask participants to join the tables that have discussion they are interested in. The Unconference will move in phases. There will be 4 rounds of 15 minute conversations. During the conversations one person will take notes. Then, between each round participants are encouraged to select another topic and try to sit with people they have not chatted with yet. After the 4 rounds each table will share the highlights of the conversations.
It's a great opportunity to get reconnected with colleagues and make new connections with people new to IACRL and academic librarianship.
Deadline to register for the ILA Conference ends Thursday, October 12.
