Astrid Larson Selected as the Recipient of the 2023 ILA Resources and Technical Services (RTSF) Scholarship

The Illinois Library Association (ILA) announces Astrid Larson, Metadata Assistant at DePaul University Libraries, as the 2023 ILA Resources and Technical Services Forum (RTSF) Scholarship recipient. The RTSF Scholarship was established to offset the registration cost for Technical Services staff members who would not otherwise be able to attend the ILA Annual Conference.
Astrid Larson has served as a Metadata Assistant at DePaul University Libraries since May 2022, where duties include original and copy cataloging of print and electronic resources, as well as training students and collaborating with the metadata team on workflows. Larson would be a first-time ILA Conference attendee with a goal of improving the metadata team’s cataloging practices using knowledge gained from programs and networking. An Illinois native, Larson has a B.A. in English from Northern Illinois University and a Master of Library and Information Science from Valdosta State University.
The recipient of the 2023 ILA RTSF Scholarship will be recognized at an awards ceremony during the 2023 Illinois Library Association Annual Conference. The conference will take place October 24-26, 2023.
