Fascinating Conference Workshops at NASIG 2016

NASIG is offering some pretty fascinating workshops this year. Take a look at what’s in store for Albuquerque!
Ever wonder how to set up a digital repository at your institution? Or what arm-twisting techniques work best to encourage faculty and students to submit their work?Corrie Marsh and Dillon Wackerman are leading a preconference workshop on the morning of Wednesday, June 8, that can help you get started.
Not every institution lives by a “publish or perish” mentality these days, but it is still a good idea to know what editors and publishers expect from writers. And it is always a good idea to share your ideas with others. Eleanor Cook and Maria Collins are offering two sessions on academic writing and publishing. If you have never published before, sign up for the morning session. If you have a little more experience, the afternoon session will be more your cup of tea.
If you need a little guidance using KBART, Marlene Van Ballegooie, Sheri Meares, and Kristen Wilson are sharing their expertise in an afternoon workshop on Thursday, June 9. This workshop is targeted primarily at content providers and individuals responsible for supplying data to knowledgebases and link-resolver vendors. They are first step in the data supply chain; the KBART Recommended Practice is geared towards this group specifically.
