Lippincott to Speak at ISU on April 12

Joan Lippincott, Associate Executive Director of the Washington, D.C.-based Coalition for Networked Information (CNI), will give a talk at Illinois State University at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, April 12. The speech, titled “Moving Forward Together: Libraries and Librarians as Partners in Teaching, Learning, and Research”, will be held in the Old Main Room of the Bone Student Center. In her role at CNI, Lippincott promotes the power of networked information technology to enhance scholarly communication and other research activities. She is also active in a number of library organizations, including ACRL (Chair of the New Publications Committee), EDUCAUSE (Learning Initiative (ELI) Seeking Evidence of Impact project), and the Horizon Report (Advisory Board member). Lippincott has worked at a number of academic libraries, including serving as a consultant for developing information/learning commons initiatives. She has presented at numerous conferences and other events, and she is widely published.
