Spark: Trial by Fire - Lessons Learned from a Pandemic

September 18, 2020IACRL is pleased to announce a 2nd Spark event for 2020! Join us for Spark: Trial by Fire - Lessons Learned from a Pandemic.
Save the Date! Spark will be held online Wednesday, December 9th, 2020 from 9:30-noon via Zoom. Librarians from all libraries in Illinois are welcome and encouraged to attend!
The committee is now seeking proposals that feature the theme Trial by Fire – Lessons Learned from a Pandemic. Share your innovations with your colleagues. What has changed at your library since March 2020? How did you stay motivated? What successes do you want to share?
Topics to consider include:
- Online Library Instruction
- OER Developments
- Virtual Programming
- Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Initiatives
- Marketing & Social Media Innovations
- Library Assessment
- Community Building
- Unique Student Engagement Projects
- Making Services Safe
Speakers will share their experience with participants in 15-minute lightening rounds. After a set of lightening rounds, attendees will go into breakout rooms to network and discuss lightening round topics. Participants will be able to discuss their own experiences and ideas with one another.
Share your innovations and survival skills with others. Submit a proposal by Friday, October 23!
