The GMR’s funding opportunities for the May 2017 – April 2018 fiscal year are now available on our funding page. The GMR will begin accepting applications for these awards on April 1, 2017, with the period of performance starting May 1, 2017.

Seven unique funding opportunities are being offered this year:

·         Emergency Preparedness Award

·         Express Outreach Award

·         NNLM Emerging Trends Award

·         Outreach Award

·         Professional Development Award

·         Public Library Outreach Award

·         Technology Enhancement Award

The GMR has also launched its Underserved Health Communities Project, which is an interactive map program showing data and stories related to twenty medically underserved counties within the Greater Midwest Region. Outreach projects that target medically underserved areas and populations, such as those highlighted in the interactive map project, will receive priority when funding is awarded. If you have any questions about the Underserved Health Communities Project or Medically Underserved Areas and Populations please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Lastly, the GMR is offering two funding courses to help our members understand and apply for these new funding opportunities.
