Message from the IACRL President: Shannon Pohrte, Elgin Community College
Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
February 28, 2025
Hello, IACRL members!
I hope you all are keeping warm and looking forward to what Spring offers. The spring semester always seems to fly by, and then it is summer.
There are many things going on with IACRL and the library world in general. IACRL will have the Spring Sampler Event virtually after hearing feedback from members on bringing back the IACRL conference. IACRL is also looking for candidates for the next election. Please get in touch with us if you would like to serve on the executive committee or in one of the committees doing such great work. The ILA award for academic librarians will accept ballots soon so please keep your eyes peeled for that.
Please keep up the great work you do in your libraries, and we look forward to serving you. If there is anything IACRL can do for you, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
