Open Conference Call about the Administrative Rules in Advance of the JCAR Review
March 6, 2015The Illinois State Library will host a conference call on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 to review the second notice changes filed to the Administrative Rules. The Joint Committee on Administrative Rules (JCAR) review of the proposed rules is March 17, 2015.
During the call, the comments that have been previously been submitted to the state library will be reviewed, followed by the state library's response, and a review of any new questions submitted as a result of this notification.
In order to ensure that any lingering issues are addressed, remaining questions or concerns should be submitted as soon as possible (before 4:30 p.m., March 9 is preferable) and should include the following:
- An exact citation in the second notice version that specifies the exact section of concern.
- A suggested draft of exact amendatory language that clearly articulates any desired changes. Resultant conflicts with other sections of the rules should be noted and resolved in exact amendatory language as well.
Participants on the conference call can also ask questions that are not submitted in advance. General comments, however, without specific citations and directions for amendment cannot be responded to.
Tuesday, March 10, 2015, 9 a.m.
