September 26, 2024Eric Edwards, Illinois State Library
Registration is open for the Health Science Librarians of Illinois Annual Conference, which will take place entirely online from Wednesday, October 23, to Friday, October 25. The theme of this year’s meeting is “Grow Where You Are Planted: Growing Stronger Together”. The Conference will feature a keynoter, continuing-education sessions, posters, and lightning talks. Attendees will also receive updates from HSLI, other Illinois library organizations, and the Iowa-based Network of the National Library of Medicine – Region 6, which includes Illinois. For more information, and to register, please go to the HSLI conference registration page. The registration deadline is Monday, October 21.
Northern Illinois University’s Elizabeth (Betsy) Sterner will take over as HSLI President at the conclusion of the Conference. If you have ideas for educational programming outside of the Annual Conference that you would like HSLI to offer, please e-mail her at esterner@niu.edu. Membership in HSLI is not a requirement to attend most of these sessions, but if you would be interested in joining, please visit the HSLI membership application page.
