Update on 2024 ILA Annual Conference Speakers
August 13, 2024Dear Illinois Library Association (ILA) friends and colleagues,
On behalf of the 2024 ILA Annual Conference Program Committee, we want to share how excited we are to see you in Peoria very soon.
Unfortunately, we have some disappointing news to share. Our Keynote Speaker, Nick Offerman, has let us know that he cannot join us in person at the conference due to professional commitments. Nick shared his heartfelt disappointment, as he just found out that his schedule doesn't have flexibility at that time. However, he has offered to do whatever he can to support the Illinois library community.
We will record a discussion between Nick and ILA President, Amy Byers, next month. Please be on the lookout for future emails and updates on the ILA website that share how you can be included in this exciting conversation.
Thank you so much for your understanding, and please know that more information will be forthcoming. We promise that we will still have a LIT conference, full of connections, learning, and fun.
