RUSA Stars Hot Topics Discussion Group at ALA Annual
Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
June 22, 2016(via Tina Baich, Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis)
Please plan to attend the STARS Hot Topics Discussion Group at ALA Annual! The meeting will take place from 3:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, June 26, in the Orange County Convention Center, Room W202B. Note the change from the normal day. Hot Topics has been moved so that it no longer overlaps with the new day and time for the OCLC user community meetings.
Hot Topics will kick off with a short presentation from Melissa Eighmy Brown on textbooks and ILL. She will describe the University of Minnesota’s pilot project with reserves, a partnership with the bookstore, and the changing viewpoints on how interlibrary loan can support coursework through licensed resources and borrowing. The floor will then be opened to conversation around textbooks and ILL. If time allows, other “hot topics” will be taken from the floor.
