Katie Kraushaar is now the Dean of Library and Information Services at Quincy University's Brenner Library. Hired as the Information Literacy and Electronic Resources Librarian at Quincy University in May 2022, she mostly recently served as Interim Dean throughout the Summer, following Patricia Tomczak's retirement in May 2023.
Western Illinois University Libraries welcomes three new faculty members: Julia Thompson was appointed the Digital Scholarship Librarian in the Spring 2023 semester. On August 1, 2023, Michelle Holschuh Simmons began as the Outreach and Engagement Librarian and Sol Cátala-Valentín as Area Studies and Reference Librarian and part of the C.T. Vivian Scholars Program.
