BIBFRAME/Linked Data Workshop in Chicago on July 16
Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
May 15, 2016(via Gwen Gregory, IACRL President)
You’ve heard the theory, now see BIBFRAME and linked data in action! Register for “Linked Data and BIBFRAME in Action: From Theory to Practice” to hear an LC expert describe LC’s BIBFRAME cataloging pilot project; a speaker from the Denver Public Library discuss that library’s experience as the first library to translate MARC data into BIBFRAME; and a Harvard librarian describe linked data initiatives, such as Linked Data for Libraries (LD4L) and OCLC’s Linked Data pilot project. Finally, spend time discussing these projects and their impact on the future of libraries with small groups of colleagues in the audience. Scroll to the Preconference Workshops section for pricing and registration information.
The workshop will take place in Chicago on Saturday, July 16. The cost is $210, and one does not need to attend the conference itself in order to register for the session.
