NMRT Offering Annual Conference Professional Development Attendance Award
Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
April 10, 2016(via Lindsay Harmon, IACRL Vice-President/President-Elect)
NMRT (New Members Round Table) members are invited to submit an essay to win a ticket to attend a ticketed event of their choice at the 2016 ALA Annual Conference in Orlando, FL. The award facilitates professional development and networking opportunities for NMRT members through participation in special ticketed ALA events. The essay contest is open to all NMRT members who are not currently serving on the Annual Conference Professional Development Award Committee or the NMRT Executive Board.
To apply for the award, fill out the application form. The application requires an essay of approximately 250 words about why you would like to attend a ticketed event at Annual Conference and how it would benefit you professionally. Applications are due by Tuesday, April 26. Winners will be notified by Friday, May 13. The committee does not consider geographic location, age, sex, religion, race or national origin in the award selection process. For more information, contact the committee chair, Holly Boyer, at hollyanneboyer@gmail.com.
NMRT is an organization for people with fewer than 10 years of membership in ALA. Our mission is to help those who have been association members less than ten years become actively involved in the association and the profession.
