Stay Money Smart!

April 16, 2014

Many Illinois libraries have just wrapped up their Money Smart Week programs, but there's a new library resource to help you stay in the know all year long.  On April 7 in Chicago, the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFBP) launched a partnership initiative with public libraries to:

  • Offer program ideas and collections of free financial education materials in print and online
  • Help you identify and connect with reliable local partners
  • Connect you to innovative libraries that participated in a pilot project
  • Provide training for library staff
Sign up by emailing financialeducation@cfpb.gov with Community Education in the subject line.  Provide your name, library name, location, and contact information.
