Training Opportunity for an Illinois Librarian
ALA President-elect Courtney Young is launching an initiative to train 25 librarians selected from ALA chapters around the country to receive training and certification to help job-seekers research, apply for, and secure employment. This certificate program requires two days of training at ALA's 2015 Midwinter Meeting, plus an additional 80 hours of online training over a 14-week period. Participants will also be asked to make presentations at an ILA conference and/or other programs in Illinois. If ILA is selected as one of the chapters, we will support attendance at both Midwinter and ALA Annual Conference in 2015 as part of this program. Interested applicants should an e-mail to doyle@ila.org.
