David Vinjamuri to Speak at ILA 2014
June 23, 2014Inspired the Soon to be Famous Illinois Author Project
ILA is delighted to welcome David Vinjamuri to the 2014 ILA Annual Conference in Springfield. You may recognize David as the person who inspired the Soon to be Famous Illinois Author Project with his discussion of the importance of libraries in the era of eBooks at the 2013 American Library Association Annual Conference
David's program "It's A Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad (Publishing) World: How Libraries Can Evolve As Publishing Changes," will address the intersection of collection development, reader's advisory, and visual merchandising. David will lay out a path for libraries to successfully navigate the eBook and self-publishing revolutions while using budgets more efficiently.
David is the founder of ThirdWay Brand Trainers, with more than two decades of marketing and management experience. He has taught branding and social media in the Master of Science in Integrated Marketing program at New York University for ten years. In addition, David writes the "Brand Truth" column online for Forbes. Publisher's Weekly called David's book,Accidental Branding: How Ordinary People Build Extraordinary Brands, "compelling" with "a lively flavor that goes down better than any list of dry strategies."
David Vinjamuri's program will be held in the Prairie Capital Convention Center on Wednesday, October 15, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m.
