IACRL Bylaws Proposed Changes
Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)
November 2, 2020The Ad hoc Bylaws Committee convened this summer to conduct the first review since 2009. The process included input from membership, culminating in an Open Hearing in September, resulting in substantive discussions and revisions. The proposed changes include an alignment with ILA and ACRL bylaws, changes in the current governance operations environment, terms of office and committee appointments, the voting process, and membership meetings. In advance of a membership vote, the current and proposed bylaws are available for review:
- The bylaws with current revisions marked is available at: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1m2kn1E8LdQmr4tbJy9_JOGeG4perXREtW6XKT4mpRPY/edit?usp=sharing.
- The current bylaws are available on IACRL’s web site: https://www.ila.org/forums/illinois-association-of-college-research/iacrl-bylaws
Current IACRL members will receive an email on Wednesday, November 18, with a link to the ballot to vote on the bylaws changes.
