October 8, 2014It's time to get ready for #ILAKick! Visit the conference website for full information. Mobile App The Conference App, sponsored by Today's Business Solutions, is currently available for Android devices and via a mobile website. Due to issues with Apple's iOS 8 update, approval of all new apps for the Apple Store has been delayed. We hope that the app will be approved and live by the time you arrive in Springfield. We apologize for this delay, which is unfortunately out of our hands. Evening Events If you will be in Springfield on Monday, October 13, be sure to attend theWelcome Reception and Battledecks Competition, in the Ballroom of the President Abraham Lincoln DoubleTree from 8:00 to 10:00 p.m. On Tuesday night, there are two fun events. All youth and young adult services librarians are invited to attend Stories and Spirits in the Ballroom of the President Abraham Lincoln DoubleTree from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. The Illinois State Library is generously opening its doors to all conference attendees for a dessert reception from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Illinois State Library is located at 300 S. Second St., which is just a few blocks from the convention center. The Fourth Annual ILA Pub Stroll will be held Wednesday, October 16, from 6:00 to 10:00 p.m. Don't miss this popular and fun networking event! |
Ticketed Events
If you are planning to attend any ticketed events -- the Youth Author Breakfast, Fundraising Luncheon, IACRL Luncheon, DiversiTEA or Lincoln's Ghost Walk -- and have not yet registered, please do so by Friday, October 10.
