Illinois Association of College & Research Libraries Forum (IACRL)

October 1, 2018

Emily Gilbert, Rasmussen College

Registration is still open for the ILA Annual Conference! This year the conference will run from October 9-11, with the preconference on October 8, and it will be held at the Peoria Civic Center in Peoria, Illinois. The keynote speaker on Tuesday will be Gene Luen Yang, the 2016-17 National Ambassador for Young People’s Literature and a former MacArthur Fellow, who promises to draw on his robust experience as a comic book writer and illustrator in his address.

The official IACRL Unconference will kick off at 8:00 am on Wednesday, and will include a variety of collaborative programming. Academic librarians of all experience levels are invited to join in. IACRL will also host a luncheon on Wednesday which will include an address from ILA Executive Director Diane Foote. Preregistration is required for this event, so make sure you’re signed up!
