If you are interested in leadership opportunities where you can make a real impact within the IACRL community, consider running for office!
Each spring, two offices are on the ballot: Secretary, who serves a one-year term, and Vice President/President Elect, who serves one year in that role, one year as President, and one more year as Past President. Terms start July 1 after the Spring election and end June 30 the following year. Newly elected officers can count on support and guidance from previous officers and ILA staff as they settle into their new roles.

As an officer, you’ll meet with the full IACRL Executive Board each month over Zoom, which also includes the Chair of each IACRL committee.
If you or someone you know is interested in being an IACRL officer, contact Sarah McHone-Chase, IACRL Past President and Nominating Committee Chair, at smchone-chase@aurora.edu by Monday March 17, 2025. To be included on the ballot, candidates must submit a biography and picture by Friday March 21, 2025. The elections will be open from April 1 to April 30. Winners will be announced in early May.
