The Health Science Librarians of Illinois (HSLI) held its 2022 Annual Conference online from September 7 to 9. The Conference was originally scheduled to take place in person at the Starved Rock Lodge & Conference Center in Utica, IL, but the Conference planners decided to switch to a virtual format, due to the continuing unpredictability of the COVID-19 pandemic. The theme was "Rock-Solid Information". Attendees from Illinois and approximately 10 other states heard keynote, continuing-education, lighting-talk, and poster sessions on a variety of topics, ranging from institutional repositories to self-care and stress. View the full list of Conference sessions and speakers at the HSLI conference website.

Planning for the 2023 meeting will start soon, although the dates and format are yet to be determined. In the meantime, please watch for announcements, including via the IACRL listserv, on upcoming meetings of the HSLI Journal Club. This relatively new group meets several times a year to discuss not just articles, but also podcasts, of interest to librarians. We welcome additional ideas for programming that engages members in a virtual setting.

To learn more about HSLI as an organization, please check the HSLI website. If you have any questions or programming ideas, please contact Eric Edwards, 2022-24 HSLI President, at eedwards@ilsos.gov.
